Rightmove takes 83 per cent of property portals’ market share
Rightmove has had another record-breaking month of traffic – with more page views than all its rivals put together.
According to independent traffic auditor Experian Hitwise, a record 58.37 per cent of all web pages viewed within the property industry were on Rightmove in March.
Experian Hitwise count 1,325 property industry websites, and Rightmove’s lead means that more pages are viewed on its site than on all the other property websites put together.

Google bins its property maps search
Google Maps is to its drop property service less than a year after the launch.
In an unexpected move, Google announced that the property search feature will be dropped in all the countries where it operates, including the UK, on February 10.

Deposits abandoned as tenants leave properties
An astonishing £5m worth of deposits was left unclaimed by tenants at the end of their tenancies last year.
So far, £3m has now been returned to their rightful owners, but £2m is still waiting to be given back to tenants by the Deposit Protection Service.
